Q4: Should we expect better wifi range, estability and possibly speed from a replacement? I am assuming that the one that I currently own is a mini pcie, is that correct? Q3: I have seen that there's two types of wifi cards, mini pcie and m.2 (correct me if I am wrong). Q2: Which Wifi card would be a good replacement? We currently have Qualcomm Atheros ar9485wb-eg on a Lenovo Ideapad Z585. What is usually the process or what I exactly need to do in order for the BIOS to recognize the new Wifi card? (I have read that you should install the drivers of the new card, before swaping) Q1: I have seen some things regarding BIOS and flashing. I know the process of changing it physically it is not that difficult, however, we have some questions regarding the swap. A friend needs to have higher speeds in his laptop, however, he owns a Lenovo Ideapad Z585 which has a Qualcomm Atheros ar9485wb-eg that doesn't support AC Wifi and we are looking forward to change it. Oh right, so I have the following situation. Hello! and thank you for checking this topic lmao!
